They perform tax planning for individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations.

Qualifications

Certified Tax Planners:

• Complete higher-education tax preparation and planning courses,
• Pass a uniform, national four-part exam,
• Complete best practice tax preparation and planning training,
• Possess one year of tax preparation and planning experience under the supervision of a Certified Tax Planner, and
• Complete 24 hours of tax preparation and planning continuing professional education each year.
